Esther Pohl and the Suffrage Lunch Wagon

June 1912 in Portland featured the Rose Parade and Esther Pohl and her colleagues in the Portland Woman's Club Suffrage Campaign Committee wanted to use the opportunity to publicize the cause of woman suffrage.

As the Oregonian reported, Esther Pohl and colleagues made plans to sell "sandwiches and light refreshments" during the lunchtime hours to crowds at the parade during Rose Festival Week.
